Ughhh!

My scanner is not working!
Such bad timing. I've been churning out some new illustrations I want to post.

I disconnected it from my computer before we moved, and never got around to hooking it back up till yesterday.

Turns out it became obsolete over the last 7 months. Can you believe that? I mean its in great shape, it could still do the job. its funtctions arn't failing. It's the damn Microsoft XP! Suddenly its not compatable with my scanning software. So I travel on over to HP (Hewlett Packard) (the maker of my scanner) and find they have a perfectly good patch update. So Downloading I go. But when I try to install the software, Microsoft gets its nose all out of joint and begins sending me all these pop ups warning me how the security certificate for my new patch isn't recognised by Microsoft, and because of that I should cancel installation. Which, like a dolt, I did.

Gee. my resident computer expert later tells me it should be okay, because I downloaded the patch from a reputable company like HP. So I try it again. And again.

I spent an entire day trying to get my flatbed up and running, no beans.

Ughhhhh!
