Here we go, again.

Well, I'm on another death watch. Any moment the phone may ring and I will have to pick myself up quickly, bodily and begin packing my bags.

My mother's husband is dying. It's a terrible story. Needless harm came to my mother's husband while in respite care. He was only going in for two weeks so mom could pull her self together after her last big loss, her mother and the subsequent realization that she isn't much liked let alone loved by her own family. God that was awful enough.

A week in she went to see him, and found him with a broken wrist, feces under his nails and an eye infection (presumably from rubbing his eyes with filthy fingers. Aparantly his broken wrist was due to a fall at the beginning of his stay, so the poor man was lying in bed with a broken wrist for nearly a week! She called an ambulance right away and now her husband is in palliative care with no chance of rebounding. His doctors have told mom he's got days, maybe weeks left, mom is beside herself with grief and his family is already lawyering up. An investigation will definately be launched. All of mom's energy is going into caring for her husband, she's practically living at the hospital now

So, while we are still fighting to close out granny's estate (efforts being blocked by my mothers loving sister), we have to drop everything to focus on Donald. It's overwhelming, which is why I'm preparing to fly back home at any moment.

I'll keep the updates coming as I can. I'm also at the tail end of a month where we had seven apartments turn. That means I had seven apartments to clean, paint, clean again, two carpets replaced, five steamcleaned, one toilet needed to be replaced, one counter top and a few peepholes added. PHEW! Today we've got two moveouts, one move in, and the rest will be in by the first week of August. Just in time for another 2 vacancies to fill. So between running this building, the other building and writing my book, I'm swamped. I can't take my dance classes this season :( I'll definately look into it in the fall.
~Peace out
