And that is how I would characterise my feelings in starting an online journal such as this.
EEEK to be so exposed to so many people gets my stomach in knots. But then again, I have to give myself a shake and remember I ain't no movie star, who cares about my small, uninformed, incomplete, incoherant (at times) musings and rantings? Ahhh anonyminity!
So, you may be wondering, if I'm such a nervous blob (with no HTML, flash, Atom, CSS, knowledge or know how.) What the 'Ell am I doing this for?
I'm hoping to use this blog to help me organize my artwork and writing in addition to organizing my troubled thoughts.
My art is a work in progress, as am I.
I keep meaning to prepare a proper portfolio, but I never seem to be satisfied ENOUGH to add a piece for documentation. This formatt may be the perfect intermediery step to shopping my work around looking for a place to hang it.
MY ART
I generally use acrylic and canvas but sometimes use pastels, watercolour, pixels (I have some experience in Photoshop) decoupage, and I also like to fiddle with photography.
I would LOVE to learn how to
- blow glass
- design stained glass
- throw pottery
- sculpt
Just too bad my learning isn't going so well.
While I've learned a bit of the template's HTML structure, where the style sheet can be found, the header, the body, and where the script is located for tweaking the way posts are seen, I've had a real hard time with the [show+/-don't show] script for individual posts. I can get pretty long winded and I don't want to have to keep scrolling to get to where I want to be. ErrrggH!
Oh well, I like how my links are shaping up. And that makes me smile.
Okay I'm off to explore some more!
G'day
