Surf

I've spent a lot of time this summer looking at view's such as this. Each time I go to the Ocean, I sit and stare. I stare at the water, at the sky, at the water and the sky, at the sand, at the clouds and I marvel at their beauty. I've had a hell of a time trying to recreate the beach. This is a satisfying attempt.

I've been so taken by the sea shore colour schemes. I discovered Blues and browns are an especially calming colour combination. I love how, at the beach the blues and browns appear to hang in bands, mid air.
I think I finally captured that in this dgtl sketch, simply because I started with the colour's and not the actual image. I concentrated only on the beauty of blue and brown while 'reflecting' on the way they lie one on top of the other and finally got something out of myself in the way of a landscape that I like.
