Thank God for My Mother

I know its ½ a year away from Mother’s Day, we are passed Thanksgiving (North of the border anyway) and are closer to Christmas than we are to spring but I woke this morning with a need to praise my Mom.

Maybe it’s cuz we are into my birthday month, actually only four days from my birthday, two from the date that labour started. Whatever the reason…

Thank God for my Mother.

Thank god she was willing to put me in her belly for nine months, thank god she got herself away, somewhere safe, at least until I was born. Thank god it was my sweet Father she chose to sire me and not some other bum. Thank god she is still in my life.

I couldn’t have chosen more appropriate parents, a more appropriate day and month, a more appropriate year to make my entrance into this world. But all of it would have come to nothing, had my Mom bent to peer pressure and logic, and terminated me like she was told.

Thank –You Mom,
For your courage, your bravery, your resolution, your strength, your code, your wisdom, your love, your friendship, your honesty, thank you Mom for letting me be me!

I love my mother.
